Mrs. Wallace

Welcome to Mrs. Wallace's science classroom!
Meet Mrs. Wallace

As a Pittsburg School alumna, I consider myself lucky to have been able to return to Pittsburg as a teacher. I hold a Bachelors of Science in biology from Keene State College in Keene, NH. With my background in biology I thought that would be my favorite class to teach, but I have found that I really enjoy teaching chemistry and physical sciences as well. I am currently a student myself, I am taking courses through William Woods University online and working towards a masters degree in STEM education.

Over the past three years, I have been participating in many different workshops and conferences focused on computer science (CS). Last year I began to incorporate CS into the middle school program, that will continue and be expanded this year. I am also excited to be offering a CS and technology course to our high school students during the second semester this year.

Besides teaching I am a co-advisor to the Pittsburg Key Club. I really enjoy working with students during fundraisers and fun events. Key Club is open to students in grades 7-12 who are interested in community service.

Generally, the best way to reach me is by email, awallace@psd.sau7.org. You may also call the school during regular hours and if I am not available will be directed to my voicemail.
