Athletic Council

If you are interested in sports, you may wish to consider joining the Athletic Council.  Any student in grades 7-12 may choose to join even if he or she is not a part of any sports team.  The Athletic Director is the advisor of the Athletic Council, and they do a number of things throughout the school year.  One important role of this group is to raise money for the various sports teams.  Primarily this is done by selling snacks at home games.  In addition to raising money, the Athletic Council is in charge of putting on our annual Winter Carnival which consists of all sorts of fun games for students of all ages.  Sometimes the staff even joins in the fun!  One of the most popular events during Winter Carnival is Mock Rock.  There is also a Carnival Ball when all of the students get dressed up in nice outfits and enjoy a dance at the school.  In the fall of 2016, the Athletic Council sponsored a fun Spirit Week; we wore old sports uniforms and really showed our Panther Pride!  Members of the Athletic Council also help at special recognition ceremonies for members of the various sports teams.  If you are interested in being a member, please see the Athletic Director for details.
