Dear Pittsburg Families,
It is hard to believe that the 2020-2021 school year is quickly coming to an end. Covid has certainly had an impact on all of us. We have worked our way through all of the changes that had to be put into place in order to maximize safety; I can't thank all of our families enough for helping us through these trying times. Without the support and efforts of the Pittsburg community, it would not have been possible, so again, THANK YOU ALL!
For next year, it is my hope that things will be more back to normal, some or all of the restrictions will be lifted, and we can open up the school for community events. I missed seeing our students and families at our annual open house. We will certainly include the book fair and spaghetti dinner at our annual open house event if restrictions are lifted. In addition, the leadership team has discussed holding a couple of movie nights next year, and the instructors, as always, will be hosting various family nights and holiday events.
In closing, I would like to remind everyone that state assessments begin on May 18th. Studies indicate that students who are well rested and eat a healthy breakfast do better on assessments. Anything you can do to assist us would be great. The testing schedule is posted on the home page, so please be sure to check it out. Finally, if you get a chance, stop by to watch the teams play ball. They may not always let us know, but they enjoy the support! Thanks for your time and support.
